Indian weddings are a mega event no matter how small and restricted the affair is and you can’t subdue the gusto of your family and friends. The excitement level of people around you is way above than yours and that is evident through the hustle bustle at your place and in your life from the very moment the date of your wedding was fixed.
The hunt for the best wedding vendors in the town starts and every member of the family has their own list of favourites to suggest. You yourself start researching at your level to get nothing less than the best. Probably my personal favourite of all the wedding functions is mehendi, because the energy on the day of a mehendi function is at some other level only. If it’s a day function go for open air setup and if you want it to be an evening affair indoor set-would also do. As far as Sangeet is concerned, it’s all about music and dancing so lighting plays a major role. Unlike mehendi (as it’s optional), Sangeet is an evening event so it’s easier to set-up the mood of the ceremony just by playing with the light. If the guest list is small, we suggest the indoor event would be more effective and if it’s gonna be a grand fete you can have an amphitheatre party, all loud and crazy.
As compared to Sangeet and Mehendi, Reception is supposed to be a little sophisticated and formal function. An evening function at a good hotel is just perfect where everything planned and managed by the hotel staff only. It does not mean that you should not look after the execution and planning at all, everything should be as per your liking and preference but you really don’t have to fuss that much for a reception.
